About us
Haass,
Lindow & Campsey, A Professional Corporation, is a medium-sized
public accounting firm dedicated to servicing the needs of small-to-medium
sized businesses and to individuals. The firm was formed in
August 1984 and is located at the Colonnade Office Tower at
the intersection of Interstate 10 and Wurzbach Road in San Antonio,
Texas. The firm is large enough to keep abreast of the constantly
changing tax laws and financial accounting principles, yet small
enough to maintain personal contact with our clients.
The
firm consists of five accountants, four of whom are CPA's. There
are three partners in our firm with over 70 years of combined experience
in public accounting. Like most small businesses, the owners of
the firm are working partners. We believe that our clients want
and deserve the benefit of the professional experience of our partners.
Each
partner has a unique area of expertise including auditing, employee
benefits, estate planning, business and individual tax planning,
small business management consulting, and computer system consulting.
Since each area requires extensive knowledge of federal and state
tax laws or pronouncements by the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants, we are able to maintain current expertise in
all accounting areas. The firm believes that by each individual
partner and staff member remaining current and specializing in one
or two areas of expertise, and working as a part of a client-service
team, the needs of our clients can be better served.
Haass,
Lindow & Campsey, P.C. is a member of the Private Companies
Practice Section (PCPS) of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA). The AICPA establishes quality control procedures
for PCPS member firms furnishing audit and accounting services to
the general public. This membership assures our clients that we
have received a report from an outside peer review team, that we
adhere to AICPA quality control standards and that each professional
in the firm attends a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education
each year.
We
have initiated many policies in our firm which enable us to provide
such attention to our clients. We know, for example, that the needs
for our services cannot usually be scheduled around an appointment.
We, therefore, have made it a policy of the firm to introduce our
clients to at least two of our partners. We find that when the primary
partner is out of the office, the second contact can provide the
needed consultation and answer to the problem. In this manner, no
critical decision must be put off due to the unavailability of a
professional.
Because
Haass, Lindow & Campsey, P.C. believes that communication is
critical in order to better serve our clients, we encourage an open
line of communication with our clients and have made it a policy
to contact clients regarding year-end income tax planning. By maintaining
continuous communication with the client, we learn of their current
needs and are better able to adopt new techniques or planning strategies
to their situations as we learn them.
We
have initiated the policy of giving instruction to our staff in
office etiquette. They have received training to enable them to
fit into the work place of the client as unobtrusively as possible.
The firm believes that no audit or tax examination should disrupt
the "business as usual" atmosphere of a client's office.
Haass,
Lindow & Campsey, P.C. believes that to be of real benefit to
the client, our services must be rendered on a timely basis, at
the highest quality, and at an attractive cost-benefit ratio. The
firm personnel share a common belief - quality is a professional
obligation, not an option.
Thank you for allowing us the time to introduce ourselves to you. We look forward to working with you in the future.
